INVESTING IN REAL ESTATE LECTURE SERIES TO BE HELD IN QUEZON CITY
With the present economic slowdown and looming recession, moneyed individuals should now seek investments that are primarily safe and secured from loses and diminishing value and secondarily, provide a good and acceptable, even though lower return. Putting one’s money in real estate, after setting aside some amount for liquidity, is one of the best alternative for this investment objective. However, a lot of knowledge has to be learned before investing in real estate. Otherwise, because of the broad, diverse and changing intricacies and techniques of real estate, it could be a very sad experience.
As such, there is a strong and urgent need to guide incoming beginners and prospective real estate investors, lessors, dealers and developers as well as the old ones from the terrible misfortunes of loss-making investments.
In this regard, series of lectures on the different how to’s of Investing in Real Estate are continuously conducted by Urban Institute of Real Estate for prospective investors, developers, landowners and realty professionals for them to gain sufficient insights and confidence to finally implement proposed real estate investments. Participants learn the ABC’s of real estate principles and avoid costly mistakes that were normally suffered by inexperienced investors, and thus were guided to a pleasant and successful real estate business.
Numerous issues concerning real estate investment would be discussed in this new series of seminars which would be conducted every Wednesday on a weekly basis starting Feb 25 to May 27, 1:30 to 6:00 PM at the Maximo Function Room, Max’s Restaurant, 2nd Level, Gateway Mall, Araneta Center, Cubao, Quezon City.
The topics, which may be attended separately and are all stand alone are as follows: February 25 – Investing in Real Estate: Opportunities, Techniques & What are Needed to Learn before Investing; March 4 - Making Big Money in Distressed Properties; March 11 – Important Economic Principles of Real Estate; March 18 - How to Maximize Income of Rental Properties; March 25 - How to Start and Manage A Successful Real Estate Brokerage Company; April 1 – Legal Aspects of Sale, Mortgage and Lease; April 15 - Taxation of Real Estate Transactions; April 22 - Joint Ventures and Syndications for Real Estate Projects; April 29 - Real Estate Values: When, How & Why They Go Up or Down; May 4 – Real Estate Finance and Investment Analysis; May 6 – Mathematics of Real Estate Investments Made Easy; May 13 - Property Valuation: How To Do It Yourself; May 20 – What to Know and Techniques of Installment Sales; May 27 – The How to’s of Property Development.
This Lecture Series will have as lecturer Engr. Enrico S. Cruz, who has more than 40 years in real estate, engineering, construction, management and education, together with professor Atty. Rex Enrico V. Cruz III. Engr Cruz is also a licensed real estate consultant and 1st and 8th placer in the real estate appraiser’s and broker’s board examinations respectively, and was invested as a “Real Estate Fellow” by the Philippine Council of Real Estate Educators.
